Welcome! My name is Kristen O’Brien.
After graduating Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco in 2001, I began making custom wedding cakes and was featured on NBC’s “Today Show” for their first ever summer wedding on the plaza. I continued my career at La Boulange in SF, and then moved to Colorado where I was the pastry chef at both The Lodge at Vail, and Beano’s Cabin in Beaver Creek Resort.
In 2003, I moved to Bozeman, Montana with the love of my life. We married soon thereafter and are raising our four children in a country home, set in the Gallatin National Forest. Now a private chef, writer, artist, and health nut, I chose to stay home and help my kids grow their wings while creating healthy meals for my family, friends, clients, and myself. Along the way, I developed a fascination for taking photos and writing about my food.
With this passion for food, I want to share local and seasonal ingredients, family meals, traditions and holidays, healthy alternatives such as Paleo and Whole30, travel, and celebrations with friends and family. Since I often coach others on how to prepare food and live a healthy lifestyle, I am expanding this to a larger community.
